DJ Profile :: Andy and Jamie

It's nearly a year since Propaganda started broadcasting on Xstream East. Over the last 12 months we have been proud to bring you live sessions from the likes of The Indelicates, Dexy, Anita Maj and Ceri James. We have also featured special guests Bashy, Daisy Dares You, Sound Of Rum, Don't Wait Animate, Tough Love Records and Damaged Goods Records.  It's been a year we have both really enjoyed and met some great people at Xstream East.

Propaganda’s Jamie Izzard & Andy Pettman have previously hosted radio shows together on Active FM, Diesel U Music, TGR Sound and World Wide FM. They also produced and presented cult new music podcast ‘Earwax’.

After some good press from Time Out magazine, Earwax had over 3,000 subscribers worldwide with feedback from the USA, South America, The Middle East and the Far East.

Some of the demos played on Earwax included Good Shoes, Art Brut, Jamie T, Kids Love Lies, Cheeky Cheeky And The Nose Bleeds, Chew Lips, The Rank Deluxe, Blah Blah Blah, My Tiger My Timing & Messengers.

Earwax also featured live sessions and some of the highlights included Lucky Soul, Mark Morriss (The Bluetones), Kids Love Lies, Gemma Ray, Public Service Announcers, Toy Toy, Miss Black America, Bleech, The Total Drop, Subliminal Girls, Heath, Officer Kicks, Tim Ten Yen, Telegraphs and Their Hearts Were Full Of Spring.

Some of the people who stopped by for a chat included The Bluetones, Dirty Pretty Things, Athlete, The Rumble Strips, Autokratz, Supergrass, Carter USM, Milk Kan, Chris TT, The Bridge Gang, Luxembourg, 586, Plugs and William.

Jamie and Andy have also DJ’d at many events including Bugjam, Lewisham Peoples Day and The Danson Festival as well as hosting residencies at the Amersham Arms, The Paradise Bar and The Deptford Arms. Other venues played include The Barfly, The Venue, Ministry Of Sound and The Brixton Windmill.
